Edit: I found the spot and completed the game, took me a while to find the spot where I needed to click.

how do you get ending 2? i just keep having him endlessly chase me around the place or getting ending 1 , and i looked in the file under "end" but only end 1 and end 3 came up :((
I played the game yesterday for the first time, and it's really fun! It was fun and had some great humor, and all the characters were great, and I found all the characters pretty likable. My personal favorite character was probably Chase though. But yeah, I played it multiple times and it's still enjoyable. The only thing that annoyed me with it is how short it is lmao but that's not really a flaw. I am kinda confused how the whole dying thing works in it though, like Chads made it sound like when you died you came back, and the endings weren't ever permanent either. So yeah I mean I am kinda confused how that works. But yeah, the game was really fun, and I forgot to mention this before, but I also really liked the art in the game, and the whole general color scheme of it. :)
Hello. I really like the game but i'm having issues with the running away part. Whenever i try to run from chase and then go through a door he suddenly appears behind me and its impossible to get away from him. I've tried multiple times but it just doesn't work. good game regardless. sad I can't get the other 2 endings though due to that problem when running from chase.
Oh I'm sorry, that does happen sometimes :( I put a teleport into the corner of the theater that teleports the player into the final room as a work around, if you're playing in the browser you should be able to use it after you reload the page. If you play on windows, just redownload the game, then copy the save folder found in www of the old version and paste it into the www folder of the new version. Hope this helped!
I ended up finishing the game and I can say I liked it quite a bit. For me the most difficult part was getting the ink. While this game was good I will say I do like Misfiction a bit better then this game but overall they both are fun to play. Great game.
I just finished the game and I can say it was amazing! I played Misfiction, but sadly couldn't get into it despite being interested in the story line. I feel like this was a good continuation to the first game despite me not knowing the whole story! I love the art and the plot along with the characters! I hope to play other games made by you in the future! :]
While mouse does work to move around, it's impossible to clear the game without a keyboard. Are you sure your keyboard input doesn't work? You move around with the arrow keys, in case you were using WASD.

Hello! The door should open after you collect all 13 deaths. How many does the game say you currently have? (You can check in the quick menu accessed by pressing escape to see your numbers of deaths) If it's below 13, then you might have missed a death somewhere. In that case, you can check the walkthrough to see where you can find the missing deaths :)

I played the previous game "misfiction" and I totally adored that one, I actually had no idea that you had kind of a sequel to that coming, till I saw one of the YouTuber's, I watch play it, I knew the game was kind of familiar when I watched it, I just couldn't put my finger on it till I clicked on the link to the game, trying it out for myself, I wholeheartedly love the art style and once again the story is just wonderful >.<!!! I completely adore the ending to this game and I simply cannot get enough of it!! I really hope to see more of whatever you make whether it be a game or just simply art cause I admit you have me hooked!! <33

i adored playing misfiction and mistrick, i just had to make an account to comment ! the art style and characters are impeccable and so unique, i cant get enough of it ! i feel like theres a lack of lgbtq+ content in rpg maker games (and in media in general) so i hope you continue to do similar games or use the same characters again im ATTACHED <3 i will definitely be playing all of your games in the future as well !

This game was AMAZING!!! I really liked "Misfiction" when I played it, but I definitely liked this game more! Everything, from the vibrant colours to the characters and their designs, to the hilarious ways that you can kill John, gave this game such a unique personality. I also liked how it didn't try to make John a more likable character, and instead showed how much he hadn't changed between "Misfiction" and this game. Really, this is an amazing game, as are all the games from Hatoge.

I agree. I have to admit, it was a lot more fun to play as the John whom you had to run from in "Misfiction" and it only made the third ending funnier. It also made killing him so much more enjoyable!
It's really nice to see this in comparison to misfiction, it feels like youve grown a lot as a game dev. This game has so much personality!! I love it!!! I think the choice to follow up on john is super interesting and i have so many thoughts and so few words

I do think I've grown as a developer, however comparing these two games based on their quality isn't very fair to misfiction, since that game was basically made in 3 days, concluding with me in a small hotel room at 4 am uploading the game right before going into the biggest surgery of my life lmaoo
I had a lot of fun playing the game. The dialogue and humour was right up my alley! Witty, deadpan, satirical, dark and a few innuendos here and there.
Gameplay wise, it reminded me of classic horror RPG maker games so if you like them, you should give this a try.
Went back to play Misfiction so the time line was out of order but it did not ruin anything me. Still recommend playing Misfiction first before Mistrick for a smoother flow.
Lastly, truly in love with the characters and the universe. Great work <3

Have you played up to the part where you've talked to Lola the second time? You're not supposed to be able to interact with anything before this point :)

To get the second ending you have to get to claire, if you interact with her she'll let you leave.

I loved the last ending. I just finds this kind of relationship cute and funny.
And the artstyle is good. I like it. (thinking about it, there are so few games with artstyle that I likes)
